都昌城Old City of Duchang

不明，古名郚殿，春秋时期齐灭纪国后在此建立别都；西汉刘邦称帝后封都昌侯，成侯国址；东汉末年孔融任北海相镇压黄巾曾驻此；西晋永嘉之乱后此城被废；附近常有齐国刀币、汉五铢钱、卷云纹瓦当等出土；古城之上今建学校、机关等单位。《中国文物地图集》补充：都昌故城位于奎聚街道青年路，东周、汉时期，平面呈长方形，南北长约400米，东西宽约300米，城墙早年夷平，城址大部分被压于昌邑市第一中学和市体育场下，文化堆积不详；曾在城内西北部发现陶井；采集有东周时期夹砂灰陶罐口沿、泥质灰陶豆把、铜刀币，汉代泥质灰陶罐口沿、卷云纹瓦当等；《昌邑县志》等载为春秋时期齐邑，西汉初为都昌侯朱紾封地，后为都昌县治，南朝宋废。位置在青年路西，刘家辛戈村、利民街两侧区域。

Context unknown. Anciently named Wudian; after Qi destroyed the state of Ji in the Spring-and-Autumn period, a secondary capital was established here. After Liu Bang proclaimed himself emperor of the Western Han he enfeoffed the Marquis of Duchang here, making it the seat of a marquisate. At the end of the Eastern Han, Kong Rong, while serving as Chancellor of Beihai, garrisoned here while suppressing the Yellow Turbans. The city was abandoned after the Yongjia turmoil of the Western Jin. Qi-state knife coins, Han-dynasty Wuzhu coins, and cloud-scroll tile-ends have often been found nearby; a school and government offices now stand atop the old city. Supplementary information from the Atlas of Chinese Cultural Relics: the old city of Duchang is located on Qingnian Road, Kuiju Subdistrict; Eastern Zhou and Han periods; rectangular in plan, about 400 m north-south and 300 m east-west; the city wall was leveled long ago, and most of the site now lies beneath Changyi No. 1 Middle School and the municipal stadium, so the extent of the cultural deposits is unknown. A pottery well was found in the northwest part of the city; finds include Eastern Zhou sand-tempered gray-pottery jar rims, clay-paste gray-pottery dou handles, and bronze knife coins, along with Han-dynasty clay-paste gray-pottery jar rims and cloud-scroll tile-ends. The Gazetteer of Changyi County and other sources record it as a Qi settlement in the Spring-and-Autumn period, the fief of the Marquis of Duchang, Zhu Zhen, in the early Western Han, later the seat of Duchang County, abandoned under the Liu Song dynasty. Located west of Qingnian Road, in the area flanking Liujiaxinge Village and Limin Street.
