Description
小城子距离赤峰约百里，属喀喇沁右旗境内，位于老哈河西岸河岸平野上。城址长方形，东西100米，南北80米。现场采集一化圜钱一枚。在城内居民家中求得明刀17枚，据传出自城东小山。现查遗址不可能在喀喇沁旗，只可能在宁城县，因为老哈河并没有流经喀喇沁。
Xiaochengzi is about 100 li from Chifeng, within the former Harqin Right Banner, on the level land of the west bank of the Laoha River. The city site is rectangular, 100 m east-west and 80 m north-south. One Yi Hua round coin was collected on site; 17 Ming knife coins were obtained from residents within the city, reportedly from a small hill east of the city. Investigation shows the site cannot actually lie within Harqin Banner and must instead be in Ningcheng County, since the Laoha River does not flow through Harqin.
