Description
不明，1978年调查 发现。城址平面呈长方形，南北现存长约500米，东西 现存长约200米。城垣夯土筑成，基宽约6～7米，残 高1～5米。采集遗物有铜剑、铜镞、铜刀币、铜布币、 五铢钱和夹砂红褐陶绳纹釜、泥质灰陶绳纹板瓦、筒 瓦、罐、盆、瓮及素面豆等残片。据史载，战国时燕 国置上谷郡，治造阳；秦汉因之，唯改称造阳为沮阳。 该遗址应即上谷郡治沮阳故城址。
Uncertain; discovered during a 1978 survey. The city site is rectangular in plan, with a surviving north-south length of about 500 m and a surviving east-west length of about 200 m. The city wall was built of rammed earth, about 6-7 m wide at the base, with a surviving height of 1-5 m. Artifacts collected include a bronze sword, bronze arrowheads, bronze knife coins, bronze spade coins, Wu Zhu coins, and sand-tempered reddish-brown cord-marked fu cauldrons, and clay-paste gray cord-marked banwa and tongwa roof tiles, guan jars, pen basins, weng urns, and plain-surface dou-dish fragments. Historical records indicate that in the Warring States period the Yan state established Shanggu Commandery, seated at Zaoyang; the Qin and Han followed this, only renaming Zaoyang as Juyang. This site should be the ancient walled seat of Juyang, the seat of Shanggu Commandery.
