天宁寨Tianningzhai

文化层，第二层扰乱层（非原生新石器时代地层），与战国时期铜镞同出；该层还出土汉代云纹瓦当及隋唐时期连珠纹莲花瓦当、瓷豆等，属混杂堆积；遗址主体为新石器时代薛家岗文化类型遗存（分上、下两文化层），蚁鼻钱与遗址主体年代无关，仅反映该地战国时期曾有楚国铜贝流通；调查发现于1978年，试掘于1982年秋、1984年春。

Cultural layer: layer 2, a disturbed layer (not an original Neolithic deposit), found together with Warring-States bronze arrowheads. This layer also yielded Han-dynasty cloud-pattern tile-ends and Sui-Tang lotus-and-beaded-pattern tile-ends and porcelain dou dishes, indicating a mixed deposit. The site's primary occupation is a Neolithic Xuejiagang-culture-type deposit (in upper and lower cultural layers); the ant-nose coin is unrelated to the site's main occupation period and simply reflects that Chu bronze cowrie coins were circulating in the area during the Warring States period. The site was found by survey in 1978 and test-excavated in autumn 1982 and spring 1984.
