Xiangcheng was administered under Shang Prefecture. Ma Menglong馬孟龍 proposes that in the late Warring States period, Xiangcheng belonged to Qin’s Shang Prefecture and may have been captured from Zhao. The exact location of Xiangcheng County remains uncertain, but it was probably situated in present-day Yulin.
