埒 (Lie)

《汉书.地理志》雁门郡有埒，一般认为币文之埒即是雁门郡之埒。关于埒的地望有三种说法。 （1） 繁峙东北：吴良宝主张此说。 （2） 神池：《中国历史地图集》将西汉埒县定在山西宁武县、神池县、朔城区交界地带。朱本军沿袭此说，将赵国埒县也定在此处。 （3） 五寨：近年来山西本地学者郭效生、朱和森主张此说。五王城遗址附近发现若干次带“埒市”戳印的陶文。2017年五寨县东秀庄乡后五王城村五王城遗址古城内村民锄地时捡到弩机配件“望山”，铭文“廿五年[寽阝]命（令）富䡃丨叚[矤]〇庚冶人〇”。 从出土文物来看，五寨县五王城村古城应是埒县所在地。根据文物地图集，城址平面呈方形，边长约500米。 现存东墙残长约400米，北墙残长约300米，基宽0.3~1  米，残高0.3~0.7米。采集有泥质灰陶卷沿瓮、卷沿缸、 平盘豆、罐及绳纹板瓦等残片。

Hanshu漢書 records that Lie county埒縣 is affiliated to the Yanmen prefecture雁門郡. It is the city that cast spade coins with Lie inscription. However, the specific location of the city of Lie is a subject of debate. Wu Liangbao吳良寳 proposes that Lie is located in present-day Fanshi County, while Zhu Benjun朱本軍 argues that it is located at the junction of Ningwu County寧武縣, Shenchi County神池縣, and Shuocheng District朔城區. Nevertheless, neither argument has concrete evidence to support. New discoveries from Wuzhai County provide another answer. In the Wuwangcheng五王城 city site, local scholars found pottery shards with the inscription “Lie Shi埒市”(The market of Lie County). In 2017, a villager from Wuwangcheng五王城 found a crossbow trigger bearing an inscription indicating it was made in Lie County. Therefore, Lie County should be located near Wuwangcheng village during the Warring States period. The Cultural Relics Atlas of China records that the city enclosure is square, with each side measuring around 500 m. The eastern wall and northern wall are still preserved.
