辉县市区内。城址接近方形，南北1500米，东西1100米，破坏严重。城内曾发现过规模较大的铸铁遗址。史语所及中科院考古所曾先后发掘周围的琉璃阁墓地，周围还有赵固、固围村、南宿等墓地，均有出土东周青铜礼器。
The city site is located in downtown Huixian. Its plan is roughly square, measuring approximately 1,500 meters from north to south and 1,100 meters from east to west, although it has been severely damaged by modern urbanization. A large-scale iron-production workshop has been found inside the city. Outside the city, the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica, and the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, excavated several high-ranking elite cemeteries, including Liulige, Zhaogu, and Guweicun. Gong was an important political center of the state of Wei during the Warring States period.
