King K'an enfeoffed his brother with Henan thereby to prolong the position of the Duke of Zhou. "He (Duke Wei) then enfeoffed his youngest son with Gong, thereby to serve the king, and called him Duke Hui of East Zhou." The city located in present-day Kangdian Village, Kangdian Town, Gongyi City. The eastern wall of the city has been destroyed by the Luo River. Part of the northern section of the western wall and the north western corner of the city wall are still preserved. Numerous remains of Warring States and Han-period pottery shards has been collected within the city.
