Description

He Linyi transcribed it into Beixun, proposing that the inscription indicates the Xun尋 city in the Shuijingzhu. Li Xiaojie used Kuodizhi and Henan Fuzhi to mark the location of Xun at present-day Huiguo town回郭鎮, Beiluo village北羅村. However, there is no direct evidence to prove this assumption(X. Li 2021, 76). Today, to the north of Gongluo Du, there is a stream from Xun Gu flowing east into the Luo Shui; it is called Xiaxun. Thus, there are the names Shangxun and Xiaxun; it is also called Beixun. Hence, the terms Nanxun and Beixun were established. There was also Xun, which was likely the former fief of Zhou dynasty official Xun Xi. (Document heading: 北尋, i.e. Beixun (北寻).)
