北屈 (Beiqu)

《左传·庄公二十八年》“公使夷吾居屈”。《水经注·河水》“河水南迳北屈县故城西。”杨伯峻《春秋左传注》“北屈在今吉县东北”。《地图集》描述“平面呈长方形，南北长约2000米，东西宽约1500米。现存城墙残段。城墙最长一段约80米，基宽5～7米，残高5～6.5米。墙体夯筑，夯层厚0.1～0.15米。采集有战国的泥质灰陶豆；汉代的泥质灰陶罐等残片及铜箭头等。麦城村周围有许多古城墙遗址，因为晚期破坏，轮廓已经不甚清楚。南坪一带有大量绳纹和篮纹陶片，有的地方堆积厚度可以达到1-2米。

The Zuozhuan records that Duke Xian of Jin sent Yiwu to reside at Qu, while the Shuijing zhu states that “the Yellow River flows south past the west side of the former city of Beiqu County.” Yang Bojun locates Beiqu northeast of present-day Ji County. The Atlas of Chinese Cultural Relics records a large rectangular city site at Maicheng Village, measuring approximately 2,000 m north–south and 1,500 m east–west. Sections of rammed-earth walls remain, the longest extending approximately 80 m, with a basal width of 5–7 m and a preserved height of 5–6.5 m. Warring States and Han-period pottery, together with bronze arrowheads, have been collected from the site. Numerous wall remains are still visible around Maicheng Village, although later disturbance has obscured the original layout. Particularly dense deposits of cord-marked and basket-impressed pottery occur around Nanping, reaching 1–2 m in thickness in some areas.
